Looks like the "three date rule" before having sex is a thing of the past. These days, couples are waiting longer before hooking up. A survey by Groupon found that the average person thinks date eight is the magic number. By gender: On average, men think sex is appropriate at any point from date five on, while women would rather wait until date nine. Men were nine times more likely to be OK with hooking up on the first date (9% vs. 1%), but only 30% of men and 8% of women think things should move into the bedroom in the first three dates.
