McDonald's 365 Black Awards

On Sunday, July 2, the annual McDonald’s 365Black Awards will return for the 14th year. The awards salute outstanding individuals who make positive contributions to strengthen the African-American community. For the first time in its history, this year’s Awards will celebrate all female honorees. The ceremony will take place luncheon-style with the theme: “Power of Inspiration.”

Leading up to the awards luncheon, McDonald’s will further demonstrate its commitment to being Deeply Rooted in Your Community by inviting consumers across the U.S. to nominate inspiring teen girls to be considered for this year’s Community Choice Youth Award. Consumers can visit www.365Black.com to submit their nominations now through May 31. One teen girl will be recognized as the Community Choice Youth Award recipient during the 2017 365Black Awards ceremony, alongside celebrities, philanthropists and influencers, and win a $10,000 scholarship. The star-studded event takes place in New Orleans during the 23nd annual ESSENCE Festival® presented by Coca-Cola®.

Open to young women between 13 to 18 years old, McDonald’s 365Black Community Choice Youth Award will honor millennials who make a difference within their communities through vision, compassion and diligence, resulting in significant local, national or global impact. Nominators must complete an entry form, answer three questions about the nominee, and submit a three-minute video highlighting the teen’s contribution to the community. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CDT on May 31, 2017
